Food Security - Eating our Earth

Fertiliser - Phosphorus, Nitrogen & Potassium

Ever wondered where fertiliser came from? How it came to be in that plastic bag at the hardware store or supplied to the farmer. Ever heard of Phosphorus Rock and did you know only 5 countries in the world control all reserves?

Purchasing and growing your food with an awareness for its sustainable production "cost" together with learning about the peak phosphorus issue may be some something you do toward Thinking Globaly and Acting Locally.

Take the time to watch this seminar to find out more about these issues and what is being done to address them.

Natural Laws of Development

Growth and development through self-activity is Nature's greastest miracle.

Man creates himself according to the laws of growth and development.

It is only a cycle in which both adults and children take their places. The child is the constructor and maker of the adult man. The child is the father of the man.

In the pre-natal period the child has established all the vital organs which after birth are developed enough for survival.

In a parallel manner the foundations of the psychic life have been established.

Though there has been much development in the pre-natal period, the development of a child during the first 3 years after birth is unequalled in intensity and importance than any period that preceeds or follows the rest of the child's life.

Life Amongst Destruction

The fragility of our lives and land has been demonstrated once again through the blistering ferociousness of the Victorian bushfires that took hold of the region a few day ago.

Please spare a thought for the lives of our fellow earthlings (man and animal alike) during this tragic period of time.

Reach Out 010 & TalkShoe

A little over two months ago I discovered www.TalkShoe.com and have since participated in many online live conversations with many very interesting folk.

One of my first encounters was with a gentleman by the name of Heron Stone. I could not have hoped for a more positive and ideal introduction the this new realm.

To compliment my TalkShoe experience I have created my own presence and space in this exciting new matrix...

My 'big picture' for the room is to attract and meet people from the global community in the hope to share information about how they are dealing with local challenges, parenting, environmental management and to generally provide a positive uplifting meeting place.

I aim to make the room available as often as my current responsibilities will allow and for a duration deterimined by co-habitors... :)

I am looking forward to the yet unknown fellow earthlings I may have the pleasure of meeting.

Join me in my room - Reach Out 010

Aloha

Happy Birthday to Me

I have recently celebrated a birthday and had a really enjoyable "birthday week" thanks to fantastic family and friends. Thank you x

Being on this positive energy high I had the urge to try and continue to radiate the good in the world and try to stem the bombardment of negativity.

I feel I need to connect with and meet other like minded positive people from around Gaia to discuss the good things in their life!

Stay tuned for the outcome.

Bright From the Start

Bright From the Start: The Simple, Science-Backed Way to Nurture Yor Child's Developing Mind from Birth to Age 3 Bright From the Start: The Simple, Science-Backed Way to Nurture Yor Child's Developing Mind from Birth to Age 3 by Jill Stamm

My review

This book I picked up soon after I gave birth to my daughter. It has since become my 'parenting bible'.

It gave me such an appreciation for the enormity and extreme inherent intelligence baby earthlings are born with.

The book provides practical examples of how to's, gives first hand experiences of raising physically and mentally challenged children and in turn outlines how these findings are as applicable to children blessed with no such disabilities.

A fascinating read that will heighten your respect for your miracle children.

The Brain that Changes Itself

The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science (James H. Silberman Books) The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science by Norman Doidge

My review

A totally inspiring and amazing read.

A case by case study and example of extraordinary neuroplasticity. Once a field of medicine that was shunned and not acknowledged for its contribution to brain science, this book brilliantly brings the subject, the masterful doctors and scientists work to the foreground.

Inspiring in so many many ways. The stories of people who through sheer determination and the belief of neuroplastic possibilities of the brain have regained/gained exceptional quality of life!

A must read for anyone even slightly in awe of the brains capabilities.

Routine Exposure to Chemical Hazards

Some good news.

Children's Safe Products Act of 2009

How can you help your local council or government take similar measures!?!

Precocious Puberty

This article outlines the immensity and dire consequences of the current estrogen dominance in the worlds population.

Some questions to ask yourself:

how will this impact the fertility and health of my children?

why have statistics such as 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women having cancer in their lifetime become the norm?

since when has puberty at the age of 9 become the norm?

what can i do to improve the situation?
